Simic sends heartwarming message to Abate after Milan exit: ‘I’m very grateful’

Ignazio Abate left AC Milan and his Primavera team after concluding their season this weekend, and Jan-Carlo Simic sent the coach a message after their work together, thanking him for his coaching.

It was an exceptional season for Simic. Not only did he represent the senior team on a few occasions, including scoring on his debut, but he also led the Primavera to their first UEFA Youth League final.

The defender seemingly has all the traits to go far in the game, and he looks much more mature than his age suggests, which is a huge positive for the club. Given the progress made with the under-23 team, there is little or no pressure on him to immediately adapt to senior football, which will only increase his chances of grow naturally.

When Abate’s departure was announced, Simic posted a story on his Instagram to offer his best wishes to the coach, and his words were relayed by Milan News.

“Thank you for the last two years we spent together sir! You have given me so much and I am very grateful to have worked with you. Good luck for the future.”
