Monthly Message Ken Striplin, City Manager, Immerse yourself in summer fun at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center

Beat the summer heat this year by heading to the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, presented by Kaiser Permanente (20850 Center Pointe Pkwy). Here you will discover a range of programs tailored to the interests of our residents. Whether you’re a seasoned swimmer or just dipping your toes in the water, there are activities suitable for all ages and abilities.
Are you looking to float for the first time or want to perfect your backstroke technique? Swimming lessons at the Aquatic Center will help you improve your skills. Instructors provide personalized guidance and support to help you achieve your goals. If you’re not looking for lessons and just want to enjoy the cool, crisp water, there are also recreational swimming hours. The best thing about recreational swimming is that it is offered not only at the Aquatic Center, but also at our eight other pools located across the City. To see a list of our pools, along with their locations and hours, please visit SantaClarita.gov/Aquatics. Once construction of the Valencia Community Center is complete, residents will have access to the city’s first indoor pool, allowing them to enjoy the water year-round.
In addition to our basic swim lessons and recreational swim sessions, our aquatic programs also offer unique opportunities such as H2Oga, which offers a refreshing twist on traditional yoga by placing you on a paddle board, balanced in the middle of the swimming pool. It’s a great way to improve balance and flexibility while enjoying the serene setting of the aquatic center. If you’re looking for something more competitive, check out the water polo class, which gives you the opportunity to learn, compete and have fun in a supportive environment.
With its diverse programming and warm atmosphere, the Aquatic Center is the destination par excellence for individuals and families who want to make a splash this season. So dive in and discover everything the aquatic center has to offer by visiting SantaClarita.gov/Aquatics.
