1 in 2 Indian consumers consider hygiene and assurance of absence of adulteration when purchasing milk

MUMBAI, June 1: Creamline Dairy Products Limited (CDPL), a subsidiary of India’s largest and diversified food and beverage company, Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL), recently released a report on milk. Titled “From the Bottom Up…India Says Cheers to Milk”, it collects consumer views on consumption and preferences for milk and milk-based products.

The milk report highlighted that 55 percent of consumers believe that unbranded milk is unhygienic for consumption. Additionally, with 70 percent of consumers willing to pay more for safe, high-quality milk, the report reiterates growing consumer demand for pure, safe dairy products. The same is also evident from the report’s findings: 1 in 2 consumers consider hygienic sourcing, processing and packaging, in addition to assurance of absence of adulteration when purchasing milk. Ahead of World Milk Day, the report was released on the sidelines of the launch of CDPL’s new product: Godrej My Farm Milk, premium quality milk straight from Godrej farm to consumers’ doorsteps.
