Stratford station closed and train services delayed and canceled after person hit by train in east London

Delays are expected on some train services between east London and Essex after a person was hit by a train.

Greater Anglia told passengers some lines were “closed” after the incident which also closed Stratford station.

In a statement posted online, it said: “Train services passing through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruptions are expected until further notice.

They said trains on the Elizabeth line and from Liverpool Street to destinations including Norwich, Braintree, Colchester Town, Clacton on Sea and Southend Victoria were affected.

Passengers have been informed that their Greater Anglia tickets will be accepted on other services including c2c routes between Fenchurch Street and Southend Central and on the tube between Liverpool Street and Tower Hill and Stratford and to West Ham on the Jubilee Line.

Passengers bound for Ipswich and Norwich were advised to take Greater Anglia trains to Cambridge via Tottenham Hale where they could change to services to Ipswich and Norwich.
