Vigilantes launch investigation against TV news personality after alleged attempt to meet minor

SHREVEPORT — Three vigilantes targeting men looking to prey on underage girls have sparked an investigation into a Shreveport TV personality who left his job.

Radio station KEEL said Bill Lunn had not been charged with a crime, but had resigned as KTBS news director and anchor. Police launched an investigation after three men said they framed Lunn in their own sting operation.

“What we’re doing is like catching child predators,” Antonio Coleman told KTAL. Coleman said that for several weeks, he and two other men pretended to be an underage girl online and lured men into a sexual encounter.

Shreveport police told KEEL that Lunn called police on May 29 to say he had been the victim of a physical assault, but Coleman and others told police about the attack. KTAL reported that police are currently investigating possible computer-assisted solicitation for sexual purposes.

Lunn’s runs a charity called Bill’s Bikes, which repairs old bikes to give to children in need.

KEEL reported that police seized Lunn’s electronic devices to determine whether he thought the “girl” he was communicating with was underage. Coleman said he, his cousin Kameron Kennon and a friend, Kataurio Grigsby, said Lunn struck up a conversation with the “girl” online and that “she” clearly told him she was 15 years old.

On May 29, Lunn went to visit the girl, but the three men jumped him. KEEL said Lunn resigned Monday.
