So far, ABC has not said anything about reversing its decision to cancel Station 19 after what was arguably his best season. Moreover, the network did not seize the opportunity to launch a Crisis One spin-off either. But if the Grey’s Anatomy branching out were To be offered a new life, Peter Paige and Zoanne Clack — the showrunners who elevated the drama to a new creative zenith — would not only be on board, they would be “100 percent” on board, Paige told TVLine.

If Thursday’s “One Last Time” episode (recap here) was really do turns out this is the last time the dynamic duo will work on Station 19, at least their one-season tenure at the helm was satisfactory. “I really enjoyed collaborating with Zoanne,” says Paige. “I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished creatively, and I’m really proud of what we’ve done with the show culturally.

“The set was really healthy,” he continues. “I think people felt seen and heard and felt ownership. They felt like they were part of the show. It’s just as important as the product.

Clack seconds this emotion. “We had a very powerful and amazing culture (on set), and it was just a joy to work with these actors, these writers and this crew. We will miss it terribly.
