Bayern Munich are considering a shock £10million swoop for an Arsenal defender currently at Euro 2024.

New Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is considering a bid for Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney.

As Real Madrid move closer and closer to Munich’s highly-rated left-back Alphonso Davies, there will be a vacancy in the German giants’ backline.

Drawing on his extensive Premier League experience as a player and his latest stint in charge of Burnley, Kompany is on the lookout for a left-back who won’t break the bank, as he embarks on a project of rebuilding at the Bundesliga giants – and Tierney fits the bill perfectly.

The Gunners defender is deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates, having spent last season on loan at Real Sociedad.

Tierney, 27, came through Celtic’s youth system and made his first-team debut in April 2015, and his full international debut in March 2016 – and will be aiming to win his 46th cap against Germany, ironically in Munich Friday night.

A good performance against Julian Naglesmann’s Mannschaft in Group A to start Euro 2024 will go a long way in convincing Kompany to take Tierney to Germany.
