Sioux City woman arrested with meth while on pretrial release pleads guilty

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Sioux City woman who was arrested for possession of methamphetamine while on pretrial release on meth conspiracy charges has pleaded guilty.

Dominique Burow, 37, pleaded guilty Wednesday to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

According to a Department of Justice news release, evidence presented at a plea hearing showed that from January 2022 to February 2023, Burow distributed at least 5 kilograms of methamphetamine in the Sioux City area.

Additionally, evidence showed that in 2022, Burow assisted someone on two occasions in distributing methamphetamine to someone who was cooperating with police.

Burow admitted that she obtained at least nine pounds of methamphetamine from several different sources to distribute in Sioux City and that she would transfer the money obtained from the drug to sources in Mexico and California.

While Burow was out on bail for her meth conspiracy charge, she was arrested with even more meth.

When Burow is sentenced, she is expected to see between 10 years in prison and life in prison. She will also have to pay a $10,000,000 fine and serve a five-year sentence on supervised release after being released from prison.
