Los Angeles-based Vance Street Capital opens Dallas office, announces new hires »Dallas innovates

Los Angeles-based private equity firm Vance Street Capital has opened an office in Dallas, announced two new hires and promoted two investment team members.

Vance Street, which focuses on investments in North America-based companies that provide highly technical solutions to their clients, recently closed Vance Street Capital Fund IV with $775 million.

The company said establishing a second office in Dallas was a strategic move to accommodate the growth of the investment and accounting teams, as well as to strengthen its regional presence in the lower middle market, benefiting from the proximity to businesses in the central and eastern United States. The office is located at 8235 Douglas Avenue, suite 1325.

Vance Street said it recently added Scott Bigelow as senior funds controller in the Dallas office. Prior to joining Vance Street, Bigelo was CFO at ORIX USA where he led the asset management accounting team. Previously, he worked at STRAIT & MUFG Capital Analytics, where he oversaw all aspects of the client reporting processes. He began his career at Grant Thornton in their auditing firm.

The firm said Natalia Rainforth has also joined the Dallas office as accounting manager, responsible for supporting the management company’s accounting, reporting and operations processes. Prior to Vance Street, Rainforth was a manager in the CFO Services Group at IQ-EQ, formerly Constellation Advisers, serving asset management clients across a variety of asset classes.

Promotions

Vance Street also announced two promotions.

Yousaf Tahir, a member of the investment team, has been promoted to director. Tahir joined the firm in 2021 as Vice President of Victory Park Capital. He plays a critical role in the due diligence and underwriting of new investments, as well as the ongoing support of portfolio companies.

Will Robinson, a member of the investment team, has been promoted to vice president. Before joining Vance Street in 2020 as an associate, he was part of the Financial Sponsors group within the Investment Banking division at Barclays Capital in New York.

“Yousaf and Will have demonstrated consistent growth and development since joining Vance Street. We are excited to announce their well-deserved promotions, as they have both played key roles in several recent transactions for the firm,” said Brian Martin, Managing Partner at Vance Street.
