JACKSON COUNTY — Law enforcement is investigating a suspect on several allegations after a traffic stop.

Just before 7:30 p.m. on June 10, a sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. 75 north of Holton for allegedly driving more than 100 mph, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.

The driver, Deandre Lamont Murphy, 38, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, driving without a valid driver’s license and cited for speeding.

In addition, computer elements suspected of having been stolen were seized from the vehicle. The case remains under investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
