The San Fernando Valley-based band, and newest signee to Best Life Records, has garnered many fans with their distinct songwriting skills, from their signature melodies to their meaningful lyrics. If you haven’t already, now is the perfect time to tune into Chatrooms as they bring us their new single “Disconnected.”

Containing a dark wave indie punk sound, “Disconnected” encapsulates all the drama and turmoil that comes when wanting to break free from the mundane. Desperately, singer Angel Carmona III utters lines like, “Am I just bad luck? / I do the same thing over and over / Over and over” and “I wish it would all go away,” ready to do it again. Despite its title, “Disconnected” is a track that everyone who wants more and deserves more can easily connect with and feel the next time things don’t go as planned. You can check it out below.

About “Disconnected,” Angel shared,

“Basically, “Disconnected” will be our first single that we release since 2021. We were aiming for an indie punk dark wave sound when creating this track… Lyrically, this song is about the inner struggle when you feel like you . I am stuck in a repetitive cycle and have no answers or direction to break free from it.

“Disconnected” is taken from Chatrooms’ upcoming EP, Something didn’t go right…released June 28. You can pre-save the project here.

You can listen to “Disconnected” on platforms like Bandcamp and SoundCloud.
