Honey Dijon is an icon of the music scene and an icon of the LGBTQ+ community. As a black trans DJ, Honey Dijon (née Honey Redmond) broke many barriers in the world of EDM, slowly building her reputation in the Chicago and New York techno scenes, before eventually composing the soundtrack for parades like Dior and Louis Vuitton and even winning an award. Grammy Award for his work on Beyoncé Renaissance.

Now, in honor of Pride Month, the Illinois native has teamed up with MCM for a new capsule collection, inspired by the DJ’s style and including four bags and two new shirts.

“I wanted to create a thesis on travel and style,” Dijon said. “The fusion of utility, beauty and craftsmanship. By creating a collection infused with heirloom pieces, I wanted to resurrect the chic era of travel, seamlessly blending timeless elegance with modern sophistication.

Across these new pieces, the brand’s ‘Modern Creation Munich’ motif is repeated in a rainbow of colors, adding a vibrant touch to their clean designs. You can shop the collection here.

If luggage or flip-flops weren’t enough to get you booking your next summer vacation, perhaps this new range of sunglasses will be the new thing that convinces you to press ‘book’.

AMI Paris has just unveiled its first range of sunglasses, unveiled during the Spring/Summer 24 fashion show and now on sale to the public.

Named 75001 (after the postal code of the first arrondissement of Paris, where AMI was founded), this foray into the world of eyewear includes a range of color shades like black, seashell, cream and cashmere blue.

A press release from the brand indicates that the sun lenses are “defined by the fusion between the modernity of (their) extra-flat curves and a timeless aesthetic, while the beveled machining allows for a subtle contrast and a play of light”.

You can buy these shades in AMI Paris boutiques or at certain retailers.

Simon Porte Jacquemus prepares for special honor after winning Capri fashion show

It’s been a good few weeks for Simon Porte Jacquemus. This past Monday, the fashion designer hosted his eponymous brand’s 15th anniversary show in Capri, Italy, where stars like Dua Lipa, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley filled the front row (and Blackpink’s Jennie did nonchalantly making his debut on the podium at the end of the show).

But before that, the French fashion designer had a lot to look forward to, as it was announced at the end of May that he would be honored by the FIT Museum with the 2024 Couture Council Prize for the Art of Fashion on September 4.

The luncheon, sponsored by Nordstrom, will take place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York. As usual, this event will kick off New York Fashion Week and benefit the museum.

“I’m really happy to receive the Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion supported by Nordstrom, it’s a great recognition for the brand and my team,” Jacquemus said in a statement. “As an independent designer, I have always wanted to be innovative and creative in the design of my collections but also in my communication. It’s always about communicating and creating experiences with our community in a unique way.
