Jeffersontown traffic stop leads to two men arrested on drug charges

Two men were arrested Wednesday, June 12, on drug charges after a traffic stop in Jeffersontown. Jeffersontown Police said they arrested Daniel Avila Huerta and Jose Emilio Moreno during a traffic stop for traffic violations in the area of Shelbyville Road and South Hurstbourne Parkway. During the stop, a Jeffersontown Narcotics K-9 unit was called and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in the car, police said. After a search of the car, officers said they found approximately 7 ounces of cocaine. They also found more than $100,000 that they believe came from drug sales. Both men were charged with trafficking cocaine and transported to the Louisville Metro Correctional Center.

Two men were arrested Wednesday, June 12, on drug charges after a traffic stop in Jeffersontown.

Jeffersontown Police said they arrested Daniel Avila Huerta and Jose Emilio Moreno during a traffic stop for traffic violations in the area of Shelbyville Road and South Hurstbourne Parkway.
