Jeffersontown traffic stop leads to two men arrested on drug charges

Two men were arrested Wednesday, June 12, on drug charges after a traffic stop in Jeffersontown. Jeffersontown Police said they arrested Daniel Avila Huerta and Jose Emilio Moreno during a traffic stop for traffic violations in the area of ​​Shelbyville Road and South Hurstbourne Parkway. During the stop, a Jeffersontown Narcotics K-9 unit was called and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics in the car, police said. After a search of the car, officers said they found approximately 7 ounces of cocaine. They also found more than $100,000 that they believe came from drug sales. Both men were charged with trafficking cocaine and transported to the Louisville Metro Correctional Center.
