The Princess of Wales wore an interesting brooch as she returned to the public eye for Trooping the Color.

Kate Middleton was seen smiling at the crowd in the Glass Coach carriage with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. She wore a Jenny Packham dress and a Philip Treacy hat.

The dress featured an Irish Guards regimental brooch as Kate was a colonel in the Irish Guards.

Kate and Princess Charlotte color coordinated their outfits today with a nautical theme in a touching mother-daughter tribute.

Kate wore a snow-white dress adorned with sheer black trim and a tie at the top of the monochrome number. Reversing the colors, Princess Charlotte wore a black apron with ivory trim and tie.

Many royal fans lined the parade route in central London, hoping to catch a glimpse of the princess, who is bravely battling cancer. She received her shock diagnosis several months ago and has not been seen in public while suffering from an unspecified form of her illness.

In a message yesterday, Kate was sad to have been “blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement”, but added that she wasn’t “out of the woods yet”.
