Several local track and field athletes placed at their AAU meet

Several athletes from the Olympus Bound Track and Field Club placed at their AAU meet in Hammond, Louisiana.

Adria Burrell, a Vicksburg native, finished first in the 200 (24.99) and second in the 100 (12.01). She recently won the state championship at Warren Central in the 200m and second in the 100m.

Dwight Palmer, another World Championship runner, dominated the 200m and won a blue ribbon with a time of 21.72.

Cooper Rodgers of Raymond High School won the 400 in 47.24 seconds. He recently signed with Mississippi State University after winning state in the 200 and 400M.

World Championship graduate Jonathan Henderson won the high jump after jumping 6’10. During his freshman year, Henderson was nationally ranked and he recently signed with South Alabama.

Danasia Ross finished second in the 100m hurdles (15.56). Shayne Reason finished fourth in the 400 and sixth in the 110 MH. Cameron Eaddy of WC competed in the 200 (23.19) and 400 M. Shaniyah Walker of Missy Gators, who signed with Hinds CC, also finished sixth in the 400 M (1:00.82).
