Cun and catch it

A Man Utd legend has urged the club to sign Wolves striker Matheus Cunha.

Erik ten Hag is primarily looking to strengthen his defense, but also wants to help 21-year-old Rasmus Hojlund.

And Cunha, who scored 14 goals and had eight assists last season, would be the ideal man.

This is according to former United striker Louis Saha, who said: “Every time I see him play, he is very creative, very powerful, he can break any line, and that kind of skill he possesses is the missing link United need.

“He is a player capable of speeding up the game, whether by passing the ball or dribbling, and he has a lot of qualities.

“I wouldn’t be surprised and I have no doubt that with stronger players around him he can be a tremendous player.”

LIND LOVE

Everton are reportedly considering Victor Lindelof to replace Jarrad Brantwaite.

Reports suggest the Red Devils have agreed terms with the defender, but their opening bid of £45million has been rejected.

Today, a new report from HITC claims: “Everton have identified potential replacements for England defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who is closing in on a move to Manchester United.

“One player the Toffees have targeted in the past is Victor Lindelof, with the Red Devils ready to allow the Swedish defender to leave Old Trafford this summer.

“Lindelof has been in and out of the United team this season, but as the club moves closer to Branthwaite’s arrival at Old Trafford, the former Benfica man may believe the time is right to move on .”

Utd may have to beg and borrow to land Yoro!

Manchester United have reportedly made an opening bid for Lille’s Leny Yoro, valued at £100million.

It would be a remarkable development – just 24 hours after the Red Devils reportedly agreed terms with Jarrad Branthwaite.

Everton want at least £70million for the 21-year-old.

So chasing two such expensive centre-backs is a huge sign of intent.

But there is a huge amount of work to be done for either of them to join United.

Arsenal still on the Mendi?

Arsenal are expected to make an offer for Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad this evening.

Presenter Thomas Partey finally looks likely to leave the Emirates.

And reports in Spain suggest the Gunners are prepared to pay the Spanish midfielder’s £51million release clause – either this summer or next year.

But it is also claimed that Manchester City are now interested.

“Prem clubs hovering for £60m Eberechi”

Arsenal and Manchester City could weigh offers for £60million-rated Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

The attacking midfielder is hoping to slip into England’s squad for their opening Euro match against Serbia on Sunday.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle have also been linked with the 25-year-old four-cap Londoner.

But Palace are keen to keep Eze and winger Michael Olise, who surprisingly missed out on a Euro place with France.

Nelson ‘ready to leave Gunners’

Reiss Nelson has reportedly told Arsenal he wants to leave.

The 24-year-old signed a new contract last summer after finishing the 2022-23 season strongly as an impact substitute.

This extended his contract until June 2027 with the possibility of extending it for a further 12 months thereafter.

But he found playing time limited last season and made just 15 Premier League appearances.

He only started in one of those 15 games.

In 24 total appearances last season, he managed to score one goal and three assists.

He now wants to leave the club for a team where he will be guaranteed more first-team minutes, according to The Athletic.

Arsenal would like £20million plus add-ons if the player is to leave in this window.
