Newark police recover vehicle linked to bus stop robbery, suspects sought

NEWARK, New Jersey – The Newark Department of Public Safety is making a public appeal for help in identifying suspects involved in a May robbery. According to Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé, a white 2017 Infinity Q70 used in the crime was found.

The incident occurred early in the morning of May 20, when two black men got out of the vehicle and robbed an individual at a bus stop on Littleton Avenue. The suspects stole a satchel containing two cell phones, debit and credit cards and other personal items before fleeing in the same vehicle, driven by another unidentified suspect.

The vehicle was found on May 30 and its owner, Sa Jadah Hodge, has since been cleared of further questioning. Police are now focusing on identifying the two male suspects: the first is described as being of medium build and wearing black clothing with a yellow traffic vest and face mask; the second, of heavy build, dressed in a black hoodie, beige pants and a face mask.

STAFFORD, Virginia – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to two significant theft incidents on June 13, one involving high-value items and another repeated shoplifting incident.

At the Days Inn, 14 Simpson Road, early in the morning around 5:49 a.m., Deputy DA Robertson was called to the scene where a victim reported the theft of a wallet and watch worth a total of $22,000. The victim stated that an acquaintance was in her room before sleeping and when she woke up, she discovered that the acquaintance and her valuables were missing.

Later that day, at 1:32 p.m., Deputy JE Cordes responded to a robbery at the Target located at 25 South Gateway Drive. Store staff reported that a female suspect was involved in “jump scanning” items at checkout. Recognized in two previous shoplifting incidents that occurred at the same location, the suspect was charged with three counts of shoplifting. She was later released on personal recognizance by the magistrate.

HARRISBURG, PA – Attorney General Michelle Henry announced charges against 15 members and associates of the criminal organization “SaySlide.” This group, based in the Ogontz and Oak Lane neighborhoods of Philadelphia, was involved in a violent robbery and fraud scheme targeting USPS drop boxes in Philadelphia and its suburbs.

Following a month-long Grand Jury investigation, the organization is accused of stealing master keys to access USPS blue drop boxes, then removing checks from envelopes for modify for fraudulent payments. The suspects, including alleged ringleader William Logan, 28, face charges of corrupt organization, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated assault and armed robbery.

All defendants are currently in custody and arraignments are pending. Attorney General Henry highlighted the seriousness of this scheme, noting the substantial financial losses suffered by people who rely on the mail for payments and transfers.

BRONX, NY – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a forcible touching incident on the BX12 bus. The incident took place in police station 52.

On Friday June 14, around 12:20 p.m., a 27-year-old woman was approached by an unknown person who grabbed her buttocks. The suspect exited the bus at Fordham Road and Grand Concourse and fled on foot. The victim did not suffer any injuries.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned man, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black adjustable baseball cap, a black t-shirt, black pants and a black fanny pack. Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward to help with the investigation.
