Around fifty Italian supporters were arrested yesterday, before the match between Italy and Albania, valid for the European Football Championship.

German newspaper Bild writes that the group of Italian supporters was arrested before the match, preventing a possible attack on Albanian fans.

“Around fifty Italian hooligans tried to attack the Albanians, gathered around 200 meters from the opposing supporters in Thier-Galerie,” writes the Bild newspaper.

And according to German media, the Italian fans were armed with knives, while it is reported that they will stay in the cell for 24 hours, after which a decision will be made.

We learned that this event was prevented by certain civilian gendarmes, who then notified their colleagues to make the arrests.
