Reasons Behind Skomota’s Reality Show Cancellation

Reasons Behind Skomota’s Reality Show Cancellation

Moja Love recently ended Skomota’s reality show after a disagreement between the two parties over compensation. The show was reportedly canceled just months after it was announced.

However, there are reports that the series will not be released on small screens after Skomota demanded a payment of R1 million for the series.

MOJA LOVE CANCELS SKOMOTA REALITY SHOW

Skomota’s team reportedly demanded R1 million, which Moja Love disapproved of, leading to the show’s cancellation. However, contrary to rumors, both parties are yet to respond to the rumors.

According to reports, the reality show was intended to delve into Skomota’s life. It would probably delve into his love life, looking at his two alleged girlfriends and his rise to fame. Skomota’s reality show went through several postponements before being officially canceled.

EXPLOITATION

However, this isn’t the first time Skomota has made headlines. Earlier this year, he canceled his shows after accusing his management of exploitation.

Skomota’s close friend and manager Skhothane sa Pitori revealed that Skomota did not have a bank account and all his booking fees were paid into Moruti wa Dikota’s account.

During his sit-and-talk interview, Skhothane sa Pitori sprung a surprise when he revealed that Skomota had made over R1 million in bookings. Surprisingly, he didn’t get his fair share of bookings.

However, MDN News also confirmed the news with a tweet. The news blog posted: “Skomota has canceled all reservations until further notice. They say they are asking Moruti Wa Dikota to appear before a meeting with them, along with Skomota’s family, to resolve issues regarding his money.

ASCENSION TOWARDS GLORY

In 2023, Skomota made headlines when he reportedly won a whopping R3 million from betting. However, the viral sensation continued to provide his entertainment craze as a bubbly host and performer.

He was busy and reserved, and his signature dance move quickly became his trademark. Skomota has headlined several shows and performed alongside some of South Africa’s top artists, including multi-award winning singer Makhadzi. Skomota has also rubbed shoulders with several stars, including DJ Tira.

RESERVATIONS

He reportedly earns a whopping R545,000 a month. However, a WhatsApp leak earlier this year revealed that booking Skomota costs R90,000. However, in addition to the headlines, he has also earned a lot of money from endorsements and club appearances.
