Nabi breaks silence on leaders’ rumors

Amid rumors linking him to Kaizer Chiefs, Nasreddine Nabi has revealed that he has received an offer from Amakhosi but the Soweto giants are not the only ones who want him.

The Tunisian tactician almost joined Chiefs ahead of the 2023/24 season after winning back-to-back trebles with Young African SC.

However, the talks failed and Nabi instead moved to ASFAR. He came close to winning the Botola Pro League, but missed out on the title after falling to second place in the penultimate matchweek, with Josef Zinnbauer’s Raja Athletic Club overtaking him.

While several reports indicate that he has already resigned from his position at ASFAR, this publication understands that he will still lead the club in the Trone Cup semi-final against Maghreb Fez on June 26, even if he agreed to join Naturena.

Nabi has for the first time responded to the Chiefs rumors, admitting that he had received an offer from the PSL side and would speak to ASFAR president Mohamed Haramou about his future.

“I have big offers from abroad. Kaizer Chiefs, yes, but not just Kaizer Chiefs,” he told reporters.

“I will decide my future after the Throne Cup competition. I will meet the president and decide on my future.

iDiski Schedules Nabi is understood to have agreed to join the Chiefs and will bring his own technical team, consisting of at least one assistant, a goalkeeping coach and a strength and conditioning coach, while both parties are still in talks for another assistant and an analyst.
