Lovers found dead in a room in Ondo

The dead bodies of a man and a woman suspected to be lovers were found in a room in Ayeyemi area of ​​Ondo town, headquarters of Ondo West LGA of Ondo State.

According to City & Crime, the man, simply identified as Eric, and his lover, whose identity has not yet been discovered, entered her room in a newly built apartment but were found dead over the weekend .

A resident, who requested anonymity, told our journalist that the lovers had turned on their generator to charge their mobile phones from a socket placed on the bed before the tragic incident occurred.

He said: “We saw their dead bodies through the window although we did not see them come out of the building the next morning. We had to break the door to get in.

“As we entered the apartment, we noticed that the woman had a chain around her neck and was right next to the outlet; this could have led to their electrocution.

Another resident, who identified himself simply as Ayoola, said the bodies were discovered after friends monitored him after they tried unsuccessfully to contact him on his mobile phone.

He said: “As they arrived at his residence, they looked through the window and saw the dead bodies, then broke down the door to gain access to the house. »

The Ondo State police spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview.
