Stevie Nicks Angers Fans With Last-Minute Show Cancellation

Stevie Nicks Angers Fans With Last-Minute Show Cancellation

Stevie Nicks was scheduled to perform at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania on June 15 during his 2024 tour. However, the Fleetwood Mac icon is expected to postpone the show at the last minute.

This was a disappointing update for Nicks fans. At 5:30 p.m., just an hour and a half before Stevie Nicks’ Hershey show was set to begin, the venue announced the postponement.

“Unfortunately, due to illness in the group, tonight’s performance is postponed,” the announcement read. “Please keep your tickets. A new date will be announced soon. »

Angry fans

The fans were not happy, to say the least. In the comments of the post, they let out their frustrations. It seemed that most of the fans had already arrived at the venue and were now expected to return home.

“How about you help us get out of this place, I drove two hours for a canceled concert and I’ve been stuck here for over an hour?!?!!!!?!” » said one user. “I just want to leave this stupid park and go home.”

Another fan was upset by the last minute nature of this announcement. “I was waiting (for hours) for the opening and wow, last second cancellation!!! More than 1 hour to get out of the parking lot!! Next time, maybe not such a last second (announcement)!!

“Nothing like a last minute cancellation,” said another user, continuing, “usually if you’re sick you know well in advance.”

But not everyone was negative. One fan sympathized with the situation and hoped the band member would recover soon.

“I felt tired and exhausted all day!” I can’t imagine how a band member feels if they have a night to work and (are) so tired,” they said. “Take your time picking up Stevie and his group.”

Likewise, another fan remained positive. They nevertheless condemned this last minute announcement. “While I hope everyone is okay, it was incredibly last minute. I look forward to the new date,” they said.

As some fans have said, I hope whoever is sick gets sick soon. Nicks and Co. has been touring since 2023. Their next date is June 18, the status of the series is unclear.
