Chicago crime: Suspects filmed in subway armed robbery in Union Ridge, Mayfair, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police have alerted businesses on the city’s north side to armed robberies in the area.

In two incidents, two suspicious men wearing black clothing and their faces covered entered and robbed businesses. The offenders then fled in a vehicle.

The first incident occurred in the 5200 block of North Nagle Avenue on May 9 at 11:56 p.m. at a Subway restaurant.

In a video released by police, the suspects act as if they are going to make a purchase. When the cash register opens, one of the suspects pulls out a gun while the other jumps over the counter to get the money.

Chicago police have alerted businesses on the city’s north side to armed robberies in the area.

The other happened in the 4700 block of Elston Avenue on May 10 at 12:09 a.m.
