Meghan Trainor reveals she ‘didn’t know who Brooklyn Beckham was’ when she met him on a double date

Meghan Trainor revealed on Monday’s episode of This Morning that she didn’t know who Brooklyn Beckham was when she first met him on a double date.

The 30-year-old pop star, who is currently promoting her new album Timeless, revealed that Brooklyn, 25, has set up the first date with her now husband, actor Daryl Sabara, 32.

Chatting to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, she explained that she met her husband on a double blind date set up by Brooklyn and his now ex-girlfriend Chloe Grace.

She said: “I didn’t know who he was, I had no idea because I’m lame.”

Ben responded shocked, “What?!” Her mother is a Spice Girl.

She explained that Brooklyn Beckham (pictured) and his now ex-girlfriend Chloe Grace put her in touch with actor Daryl Sabara – but she didn’t know who the aspiring chef was.

She commented that she realized he must be famous because of all the attention he was getting.

The All About That Bass singer also added that famous Brooklyn mom Victoria, 50, has since gifted him a shirt from her clothing line.

Brooklyn and Hollywood star Chloe, 27, first met at a SoulCycle class in Los Angeles in 2014.

They went through an initial breakup, but the Equalizer actress then announced they had rekindled their romance in April 2016.

Meghan explained that two months later, Chloe set Meghan up with Daryl after telling him she “really wanted to meet a good guy.”

The now husband and wife enjoyed a double date at the bowling alley with Chloe and Brooklyn who broke up in September 2016.

Since then, Meghan and Daryl have been stronger than ever with the Spy Kids actor proposing in December 2017 and tying the knot a year later.

She said: “We’re like the most in love couple ever.”

Explaining that she didn’t remember who Brooklyn, 25, was, she added: “I didn’t know who he was, I had no idea because I’m lame,” to which host Ben replied shocked: “What?!” Her mother is a Spice Girl

They share son Riley, three, and Barry Bruce, who they welcomed in July last year.

During her lengthy chat on the daytime TV show, Meghan discussed many things, including writing for famous faces, touring with her children and the meaning of her album Timeless.

She said: “I’ve written country songs, I’ve written for J-LO, Michael Bublé, John Legend, I did his Christmas song. I’m trying to write for Rita Ora. Hi, I Love you!, she joked, delighted.

The songwriter fondly recalled his 2014 banger, All About Bass is Something “Everyone still dances to” these days and wants all their songs to “sound like that.”

“There’s a ballad called Timeless and it’s my love song to my babies,” she said.

“My little boy Riley would like to sit in it every night after bathing. He said, “Can we sing in a timeless way? »

As she prepares to embark on her next tour, she confirmed that her children will be with her the entire time.

“Riley will love it because he loves buses. My little Barry is going to learn to walk on the tour,” Meghan said proudly.
