West Palm Beach, FL – A former West Palm Beach Red Lobster employee is facing charges following a violent armed robbery at the restaurant that was caught on camera earlier this year.

Authorities say Ta’Shambae Saleme Greene, 35, of Lauderhill, was arrested Thursday by the U.S. Marshal’s South Florida Fugitive Task Force.

According to West Palm Beach police, Greene burglarized the restaurant after being sent home April 14 due to slow business.

At approximately 11 p.m. that evening, a masked individual, later identified as Greene, entered the closed restaurant and threatened the manager and another employee at gunpoint.

Surveillance footage allegedly showed Greene punching the manager before forcing her to open the safe.

Greene allegedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and the manager’s iPhone before fleeing the restaurant.

A tip from an employee who recognized Greene’s voice led to her identification.

A search warrant executed at Greene’s residence on April 26 uncovered clothing matching the robber’s description, a large sum of cash and a firearm believed to be the one involved in the crime.

Greene faces charges of grand larceny, wearing a mask while committing a crime, illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of false imprisonment.

He is currently being held at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center.

Bond information has not yet been released.
