Acaden Lewis donated by UK Basketball during his visit to Kentucky

With transfer season all but over, Mark Pope has turned his attention to the high school recruiting trail.

This week is busy in Lexington, marked by an unofficial visit from 4-star guard Acaden Lewis starting Monday.

During the visit, Lewis announced a scholarship offer from the Kentucky Wildcats.

Lewis, 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, plays for Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC. He is a consensus top 100 recruit, ranked 55th overall in the 2025 class by Rivals, where he is listed as a shooting guard. That’s the position ESPN has him at, while 247 Sports has him listed as a combo guard and On3 lists him as a point guard.

Lewis may not be a top-50 pick, but he’s had a great summer, leading to recent offers from the UConn Huskies, North Carolina Tar Heels, Alabama Crimson Tide and Tennessee Volunteers.

It appears that Lewis is now very much in play to be one of Pope’s first high school commits in the 2025 class.
