Combustion car fire briefly closes westbound C-470

DENVER (KDVR) — Multiple agencies were on the scene of a combustion vehicle fire Monday afternoon on C-470 in Highlands Ranch, which temporarily shut down westbound traffic.

As of 1:55 p.m., both westbound lanes were closed due to emergency responses just east of University Boulevard. No injuries were reported, but minor traffic delays were expected in the area.


South Metro Fire Rescue, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado State Patrol responded to the vehicle combustion fire.
