Vacant grocery store in Brawley caught fire

BRAWLEY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) – A former vacant grocery store caught fire Monday afternoon in Brawley.

Firefighters rushed to the scene to contain the fire around 6 p.m. in the area of ​​Rio Vista Avenue and E Street.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire, which did not spread to nearby buildings. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Crews were on scene battling the fire from the exterior to ensure it did not reignite.
