Washington DC – Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect involved in an illegal discharge of a firearm offense in Northwest DC.

On Thursday, May 28, at approximately 5:54 p.m., a suspect discharged a handgun in the 1300 block of 7th Street, Northwest. The suspect then fled. Although the shooting caused property damage, no injuries were reported.

The suspect was filmed by a surveillance camera.

  • Middletown man faces criminal charges after chase by Newark police

    NEWARK, DE – Delaware State Police apprehended Jacob Singleton, 24, of Middletown, following a high-speed chase and subsequent incidents in Newark on Sunday.

    The chase began on June 16, 2024, at approximately 2:23 p.m., when a state trooper, assisting a disabled motorist on Salem Church Road near East Chestnut Hill Road, noticed a black Mazda running a red light. The officer’s attempt to stop the vehicle led to a chase through the streets of Newark. Due to the reckless driving of the Mazda, the officer discontinued the pursuit to ensure the safety of the public.

    The vehicle was then spotted by another patrol on Montrose Drive, parked in a driveway near an occupied home. Singleton was found by officers after a local resident reported him illegally entering their home and hiding in the toilet.

    During his arrest, Singleton resisted, injuring a trooper who was later treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a nearby hospital. Singleton was charged at Troop 6 and is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $13,300 cash bail.

    The charges against Singleton include:

    • Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer (Second Degree Causing Injury, Felony)
    • Three counts of reckless endangerment (first degree, felony)
    • Burglary (crime)
    • Resisting arrest with force causing injury to a peace officer (felony)
    • Disregarding a police officer’s signal (crime)
    • Several traffic violations

  • Man violently slashed in front of New York’s Javitz Center, couple wanted

    NEW YORK, New York – The New York City Police Department is actively searching for two suspects involved in a violent assault that occurred in the early hours of Monday, June 10, 2024. The incident took place at approximately 1:42 a.m. at the rear of 655 West 34th Street. , where a 37-year-old man was attacked.

    According to reports, the victim was approached by two unidentified individuals who used unknown metal cutting instruments to strike him in the face and abdomen. This violent attack resulted in significant lacerations in both areas. Emergency responders responded quickly and the victim was transported to NYC Health+Hospitals/Bellevue, where he is currently in serious but stable condition.

    Following the attack, the attackers fled on foot towards West 37th Street. Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspects to come forward.
