The PSx/64-inspired “Frogun ENCORE” Collectathon comes to PC and consoles on June 25

Developer Molegato and editor Top Hat Studios announced today that its retro-inspired collectathon title “Frogun ENCORE” will launch on PC via Steam/GoG, Nintendo Switch (US/EUR), PlayStation, and Xbox consoles on June 25. A demo is currently available on Steam and the game will cost $12.99 USD.

Building on the original, FROGUN ENCORE features an expanded moveset and greater agility for our heroes. Catapult from zip lines, spin and double jump, and launch yourself skyward while shooting down enemies and captured objects! Renata and Jake have all grown up and learned the tricks to get started.

GET READY FOR A RETRO RIBBITIN RETURN! Filled with love and nostalgia for the PS1/N64 era of gaming, the hit retro-collectathon FROGUN gets a sequel! Intrepid ruin explorer Renata and her best friend talk about returning to the frog gun – in FROGUN ENCORE! Available on Steam, GoG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Xbox family, Frogun Encore launches on June 25.

Three years have passed since Renata ventured deep into the lost ruins and saved her parents (and the world!) from Beelzebub, the Lord of the Flies. Since then, it’s been a tradition to spend time with Hatter and her former rival turned best friend Jake – the friends she met on her original adventure – every summer…camping, hiking, and having fun general.

However, one day, as they return from a hike in the jungle, they see Jake’s town attacked by the evil Fly Bois! It seems that some of them are still loyal to Beelzebub, and under the command of the vengeful General Fluff, they are plotting to use secret technology to bring the Lord of the Flies back to this world… so now, join Renata and Jake in their role. they must chase flies all over the world to thwart their plan!

A charming retro platformer that builds on all the strengths of the original Frogun, with features like an expanded moveset, true couch co-op playable throughout, and much more, FROGUN AGAIN asks a question simple: are you ready to return to a world of low-poly ambiance and charm of the PS1/N64 era?

Jake (and his nimble friend, Snatch!) are in the game from the start – once again improving on the original, where multiplayer was only available for Versus arenas, FROGUN ENCORE is fully playable in local co-op for the main story. game mode. Playable in solo mode or in cooperation, a second player can intervene at any time during a stage! Bounce off each other, run to the end, or work together to collect all the treasures along the way and defeat bosses together. It’s couch coop like the good old days!
