Coronation Street fans have highlighted Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby’s big mistake as the secret of their affair looks set to be revealed. Viewers of the ITV soap have already predicted the pair could find comfort in each other after Toyah’s heartbreaking secret was discovered and Nick faced isolation from partner Leanne Battersby.

In scenes broadcast earlier this month, Corrie fans saw Toyah and Nick struggle to convince Leanne to move away from her growing association with Rowan Cunliffe and the Institute.

With their relationship in freefall, Leanne then left the apartment and it was Toyah who was there to comfort Nick, in more ways than one after a passionate clash. But their attraction to each other only continued.

On Tuesday evening’s (June 18) first visit to Weatherfield this week, it was the day of the funeral of Toyah Battersby’s daughter Rose, who was stillborn in 2001. In April, Toyah revealed to Nick that the father of her granddaughter was her. rapist, Phil Simmonds, and that she had hidden the pregnancy and premature birth.

She had buried her daughter in a park which has since been excavated in search of missing teenager Lauren Bolton. Police later discovered the remains were those of Toyah’s granddaughter while she was being questioned about what happened more than 20 years ago.
