For a reminder of how beautiful these rooms can be, look no further than Robert Downey Jr.’s pink marble powder room, designed by Fox Nahem Associates in his Malibu home.

Even though powder rooms are typically small, the actor prioritized making a big statement with his liberal use of marble, decorative mosaic tiles and rustic stone finishes. With these different textures and colors combined, Downey Jr. ensured that his space always felt layered and beautifully luxurious — something that, the designers say, is repeatable (even if on a smaller scale) in our homes.
