Meet Pepper, a black cat up for adoption

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A young black cat named Pepper is looking for a new home this Whisker Wednesday.

Amber Harrell of Cat Haven said Pepper was about seven or eight months old. He is very affectionate, loves attention and plays with other cats and people. He would do very well with a family who wants to give him lots of love and attention. Her adoption fee is $125.

If you can’t adopt a cat at the moment, consider fostering. There are other ways to get involved with Cat Haven. The shelter would like to have more volunteers to help with maintenance.

Cat Haven is hosting a fundraiser at the end of the month to raise money for a new building. The event will take place on Sunday, June 30 at 3 p.m. at The Station, located at 4608 Bennington Ave. There will be live music and a silent auction.
