Man Wins $7.9 Million Lottery Jackpot After Following Father's Proposed Strategy

A man unexpectedly won a $7.9 million lottery jackpot after following a strategy recommended by his father.

The 38-year-old Wayne County man matched the winning lottery numbers after following his father’s advice to repeat the same numbers over and over again until he hit the jackpot. Finally, last month, the numbers struck gold.

The anonymous Michigan resident plans to put the winnings into savings, using them as a boon for his child’s college funds.

His father advised him to stick to one set of numbers and said: “I have been playing Lotto 47 for a long time and I was always changing my number.

“One day my dad told me that I should choose a set of numbers and stick to it, that’s what I did. I bought a subscription online and I play with the same set of numbers numbers for several years.”
