Justin Timberlake apologized to ‘shocked’ crew on duty hours after DWI arrest, fearing tour date canceled

JUSTIN Timberlake has apologized after his shock arrest in Sag Harbor and told his crew backstage: The show must go on.

The US Sun spoke to a source close to the Cry Me a River singer who assured his world tour would not be affected, although he was arrested by police in the Hamptons for driving under the influence and crossing the road. ‘a stop sign.

He is due back in court on July 26, the same date his world tour begins in Poland, as doubts grow over the 43-year-old’s ability to perform as the controversy swirls.

The US Sun insider, who works with Timberlake’s entourage, said the former NSYNC star spoke out on a lengthy conference call in the hours after the shock arrest.

Our source says Timberlake’s crew members were worried about the future and the incident “wasn’t the best thing that could have happened” given his busy summer schedule.

But Timberlake, who has been released on bail, was described as a “very strong leader”, impressing everyone by standing up and “owning” the situation.

“He made sure that this arrest did not create tension within the crew, he reacted like a boss, like someone who owns his shit,” said the insider, who spoke undercover of anonymity.

“He apologized for bringing that kind of attention to the team. Everyone was happy to hear what he said.”

Timberlake’s lawyer, Edward Burke, vowed to “vigorously” defend his client who refused to take a breathalyzer test and was described in a charging document as having “bloodshot and glassy” eyes after he was arrested early Tuesday morning.

Cops also wrote that there was “a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,” his speech was slurred and he had difficulty passing some sobriety tests.

One of his tour coordinators, who also spoke to the US Sun on condition of anonymity, said crew members found out about the arrest just “hours” after the event and were concerned that the tour not be cancelled.

This is the latest problem Timberlake has to face.

Ticket sales for his tour were slow, his latest single failed to chart, and his close friends advised him to think about taking a break.

Meanwhile, a show in Columbia, South Carolina, on June 8 was canceled without explanation.

However, he is determined to continue.

“We were quickly told nothing was going to change,” he said.

Justin’s attorney has represented a range of notable names in the East.

In 2001, he represented Lizzie Grubman, a nightlife journalist whose car crashed into a crowd of 16 people outside a Hamptons club, before fleeing the scene.

Timberlake, according to the source, was in “good spirits” and told everyone “with a big smile that he was sorry” before admitting “he shouldn’t have done that.”

“We are 110% motivated to leave everything behind and put on fantastic shows,” added the tour coordinator.

“He’s a responsible guy who made a mistake.”

The US Sun reached out to Timberlake’s representatives but did not immediately receive a response.
