Jason Gibbs | Get Ready for the Summer Soundtrack at Concerts in the Park

Every summer, Santa Clarita’s Central Park (27150 Bouquet Canyon Road) transforms into a premier venue for musical performances where friends, families and neighbors come together to sing and dance the night away. As the evenings begin to get longer and warmer, it gives me great joy to once again welcome one of the most anticipated event series of the year: Concerts in the Park.

With free live music, ranging from disco to country, featured on this year’s schedule, Concerts in the Park never disappoints and has something for everyone.

Every Saturday at 7 p.m. from July 6 to August 24, grab your lawn chairs and claim your spot early, as the Central Park grounds quickly fill up with spectators eager for an exciting evening. Before the show begins, sit back, relax and enjoy the warmth of the evening. Create your own picnic by grabbing a bite to eat at one of the on-site food trucks, check out participating vendors, or use one of the park’s beautiful surrounding fields. But don’t go too far, the show is about to begin!

Now here’s what you’ve all been waiting for: the superb Concerts in the Park lineup. We kick off 2024 on July 6 with Super Soul Groove, playing an electrifying mix of disco, funk, soul and R&B. With a repertoire ranging from timeless hits of the past to modern-day bops, this group of talented musicians offers an energetic show that will have you dancing all night long.

On July 13, we will completely change the subject and listen to In the End: Tribute to Linkin Park. In the end, it doesn’t matter who you play with, because it will be an unforgettable evening while you sing your favorite hits.

Then, on July 20, Buffett Beach will offer the ultimate Jimmy Buffett experience. This band perfectly captures the summer vibe and creates an engaging atmosphere with entertaining stories and banter between songs, and faithfully recreates the energy of Jimmy Buffett’s iconic concerts.

So all you NSYNC and Backstreet Boys fans better come out of hibernation because on July 27, The Boy Band Project: Tribute to ’90s and ’00s Boy Bands takes the stage to perform the classics we all know and love .

After that, we’ll sing “bye bye bye” and look forward to welcoming The Travelin’ Band: Tribute To Credence Clearwater Revival John Fogerty, who will bring nostalgia and rock and roll to Central Park on August 3rd.

We’ll move forward to August 10, but travel back in time and “We’ll Never Let You Down” with Fast Times: ’80s Concert Experience, so dress to the nines in your ’80s wardrobe for the classics you ‘ that I’ve been waiting for all summer.

Do you still remember the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival in April? We’ve got you covered on August 17, with Rebel Heart: Tribute to Modern Country Music. I hope you didn’t put those cowboy boots away, because you’ll need them again for that night of rooting for your favorite country songs.

The 2024 Concerts in the Park concludes with an incredible performance this year: on August 24, get ready for Adelaide Pilar’s Latin Divas Show: a tribute to Selena, Shakira, Gloria Estefan and Celia Cruz, which promises to be an incredible, unforgettable evening. The end of the concert season will certainly make you want to know more, but you’ll just have to wait until summer 2025.

The Concerts in the Park event series is not only a pleasant way to spend your summer evenings, but also a wonderful space for friends, families and neighbors to relax and enjoy live music together free. I can’t wait to see the diverse lineup this year has to offer. For programming and more information, visit SantaClarita.gov/Concerts, and I’ll see you all in Central Park this summer!
