Center on cancellation of UGC NET: “Will not hesitate to act”

A day after the Center canceled the UGC Net exam following reports that the “integrity of the exam had been compromised”, Govind Jaiswal, joint secretary in the education ministry, said the The case had been referred to the CBI for investigation. “The matter has been referred to the CBI to initiate an investigation against all those involved in this matter,” he said.

“I would like to reiterate that the ministry is committed to ensuring the interest of students and will not hesitate to take action against those who compromised the examination,” he added.

The schedule for UGC NET re-examination will be released soon, he said.
