Justin Timberlake apologized to ‘shocked’ crew during on-call hours after DWI arrest

Justin Timberlake insisted his world tour would go on as planned and apologized to his team in a lengthy conference call hours after his shock. Arrest for DWI in the Hamptons early Tuesday morning, RadarOnline.com has learned.

A source close to Timberlake told US Sun that the NSYNC alum allayed his team’s fears about the tour cancellation by “taking ownership” of the situation and becoming a “very strong leader.” .

“He made sure that this arrest did not create tension within the crew, he reacted like a boss, like someone who owns his shit,” the source said. “He apologized for bringing that kind of attention to the team. Everyone was happy to hear what he said.”

One of Timberlake’s tour coordinators added that he was “in a good mood” and told everyone “with a big smile that he was sorry” before admitting that “he wouldn’t have shouldn’t have done that.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, Timberlake was arrested for drunk driving in Sag Harbor earlier this week.

The singer was arrested after allegedly jumping a stop sign and failing to drive straight after meeting friends at a nearby hotel. Police said the star refused to take a breathalyzer test.

“We look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” company attorney Edward Burke Jr. said in a statement Wednesday morning. “He will have a lot to say when the time comes.”

Timberlake is due in court on July 26, the date he was supposed to perform in Poland for his Forget Tomorrow world tour. He is also scheduled to perform two concerts in Chicago this weekend.
