Strictly’s Janette Manrara mortified by TV error as baby monitor airs live

Strictly Come Dancing star Janette Manrara, 40, suffered an awkward encounter on BBC Morning Live on Thursday as her baby monitor “wreaked havoc” live on air.

During a segment with financial expert Laura Pomfret discussing overdrafts, viewers could hear a loud sound in the background, which Janette did her best to hide.

Intervening, host Gethin Jones announced: “Wait a minute, let’s turn off the baby monitor on Janette’s phone before we continue. Stop trying to hide it,” as the Strictly star and the rest of the panel burst into laughter.

Janette, embarrassed, exclaimed: “It’s because I opened the WhatsApp group!” as she laughed and apologized to Laura.

Both Laura and Gethin asked if her daughter was okay, to which Janette replied, “She’s okay, she’s okay!” »

The Strictly star and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec, 34, welcomed their baby daughter Lyra in July last year.

Janette had already spoken about her “difficult” cesarean section to the Mirror. “It was hard with a cesarean, it’s a long recovery,” she explained. “I couldn’t carry Lyra as much as I wanted to. It was really hard for me emotionally.

“It’s weird because you’ve been carrying this baby in your belly for nine months – you feel so connected to him. Then she was born, and in the hospital you deal with stitches, you deal with all the medications in your body,” she continued.
