Sabrina Carpenter North American tour has Hartford stop

Singer, songwriter and actress Sabrina Carpenter has announced her 2024 North American “The Short n’ Sweet Tour,” with a planned October stop in Hartford.

The 29-date tour kicks off on Sept. 23 in Columbus, Ohio, with stops across the US and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Austin and Hartford. The Hartford show is scheduled for Oct. 2 at the XL Center, with Amaarae opening the show.

The tour is in support of Carpenter’s upcoming album, “Short n’ Sweet,” out Aug. 23. Carpenter recently released her second single from the album, “Please Please Please,” which hit No. 1 on Spotify’s Global and US charts, No. 1 on Apple Music and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The album’s lead single, “Espresso,” was released in April. The platinum-certified single became her fourth hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It also took the No. 1 spot on the Spotify Global, US, and UK charts and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart.

Carpenter’s fame continues to rise. She joined Taylor Swift on the international leg of her Eras tour in Mexico, South America, Australia and Singapore, made her Coachella debut in April and was the musical guest on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live” last month.

Carpenter is partnering with PLUS1 on the tour to launch the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, which will support national and local organizations working on issues including mental health, animal welfare and LGBTQ+ support.
