Man Tries To Ride Golden Retriever Into His Car, But He’s Not Ready To Go Home Yet

All dogs love spending time outside, running and playing with their owners, but some love it so much that they refuse to go home after playtime is over.

An Ohio golden retriever has left the internet in anger after his owner filmed him playing while trying to take him home from his walk.

In a hilarious clip shared on TikTok in May, under the username krissytina570, the puppy can be seen getting off his leash and lying flat on the ground with his belly up while his owner lets the other dog inside in the van.

Despite his owner’s multiple attempts to encourage him to get up and leave, the puppy did not give in and his owner had to forcefully retrieve him and place him inside the vehicle.

Dogs can stay outside and play all day, but their humans may not have the same flexibility. However, pet parents need to make sure their dogs get enough exercise daily to keep them healthy. News week has previously reported on the amount of exercise dogs need each day. This mainly depends on their size, age and breed.

For small dogs, those weighing less than 15 pounds, 20 minutes of exercise at a time is considered sufficient, while for larger breeds, veterinarians suggest a 30 to 60 minute walk. More athletic breeds, like Labrador Retrievers and Australian Shepherds, can often go for long, hour-long walks and feel little or no pain.

The video quickly went viral on social media, attracting viewers from all over TikTok. It has so far received over 8.6 million views and 381,100 likes on the platform.

One user, MakingMemoriesCA, commented: “Hilarious but at least he didn’t run!! My dog would have gone and chased him for hours!!!”

Golf_gal0215 said: “I had a yellow lab that if she didn’t want to go the way I was going she would just lay in the middle of the road. So I had to give in because I couldn’t pick her up. I always laughed about that.”

Lynn McLaren added: “So adorable…he’s like I want to stay…so you’re going to have to carry me to the truck. honey.”
