Chipotle launches new menu item inspired by UConn’s Donovan Clingan

It’s the lunch of champions. Twice champions, in fact.

Chipotle is introducing a new menu item inspired by Bristol native and UConn men’s basketball legend Donovan Clingan as the now-former Husky prepares for next week’s NBA draft.

The Donovan Clingan Bowl, based on the great man’s favorite order, features chicken, white rice, fresh tomato salsa, cheese, sour cream and lettuce.

The must-have order will be featured as a digital menu item on the Chipotle app and website for a limited time.

Clingan reflected on his time at UConn in a video posted to Chipotle’s Instagram account.

“Being from Connecticut and carrying Connecticut on my chest every day, inserting myself into history in a place where it was difficult to make history, is something that is even more important to me,” he said. Clingan said. “Not too many teams and not too many people who can say they won back-to-back titles playing for their home country, where they grew up. It’s just really special to me.
