THE GREEN ROOM 42 will feature singer/songwriter and recording artist Shanna Sharp, in her final performance in New York before embarking on her new journey to Europe, on Tuesday, July 9 at 7:00 p.m. This is your chance to experience the moving, heartfelt lyrics and beautiful, soulful voice of an artist hailed as a legend in the making. A former NYC piano bar expert, Shanna brings her signature blend of original music and captivating storytelling to the stage, accompanied by her longtime musical partner Brian J. Nash on piano. New York-based singer-songwriter Shanna Sharp brings a touch of country charm to an alternative pop vibe. With her unique sound, Shanna effortlessly blends her roots, her travels, and the vibrant energy of the places she calls home, creating an unforgettable musical experience. Originally from Alabama, Shanna’s journey as a singer-songwriter has taken her from the rowdy piano bar scene of the West Village to downtown New York to stages around the world. Her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics have captivated audiences across continents, and her original music has received international radio airplay and been featured on various MTV shows, cementing her status as a rising star. Headlining such renowned venues as Joe’s Pub, The Bitter End, Birdland and Stonewall Inn, Shanna has proven time and time again that her talent knows no bounds. Combining her Southern roots with her cosmopolitan influences, Shanna brings a dynamic energy to her shows, effortlessly connecting with her audiences and creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Brian J. Nash is an award-winning pianist, singer, musical director, orchestrator and producer based in New York since 2002. Brian has been the musical director of numerous Off-Broadway and regional musicals and works in concert with Jennifer Holliday, Deborah Cox, Andy Bell (Erasure), Countess Luann, Ana Gasteyer, Laura Benanti, Tiffany, Shoshana Bean, Natalie Joy Johnson, Ada Vox, Christina Bianco and many more. Brian recently sold out a sold-out performance at the Sydney Cabaret Festival, performs around the world as a solo artist and musical director, and from March 2020 to September 2022 he presented a weekly series of streaming shows across all requests. As a record producer, he has produced and performed on pop and rock records for Justin Tranter, Shanna Sharp, Boys Like Girls, Peppermint and Stacy Allyn Baker, as well as numerous cabaret and cast albums. Brian is also the Entertainment Coordinator and Resident Managing Director of Atlantis Events, the world’s largest LGBT+ travel organization. He holds a degree in opera performance from the Boston Conservatory and has given master classes in song performance around the world.
