Brandy Stars in First Trailer for A24’s ‘The Front Room’

A24, the studio that brought us Hereditary And The witchoffers a new horror tale in The front room. Written and directed by Max and Sam Eggers, it stars Brandy and Kathryn Hunter. Brandy, known to many for her music career, plays a woman about to have her baby with her partner. And from what we see in the official trailer, with her carefree driving and singing, she’s happy with her life. This is where his partner’s mother-in-law comes into play.

Played by Hunter, the stepmother is bossy, makes pointed comments left and right, and is weird. Not just weird “I have weird hobbies.” We’re talking about “the old lady might love something otherworldly and wants to take my baby” weird. And Brandy’s character isn’t going to just sit around. She’s happy and there’s no way this intruder in her life will upset everything she’s worked on. This is especially true when it’s revealed that the stepmother wants to divide Brandy’s family and take her daughter away. Not today, Satan. Not today.
