Suspected burglar arrested in Dallas Co. after car ran out of gas

A Selma man is facing burglary charges – after he was filmed committing the crimes – and the stolen property – was found in his car.

Sheriff MIke Granthum says Justin Paul Gates, 44, is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary.

Granthum says Gates was arrested about a mile from the burglary. His car had run out of gas. And the stolen property was inside the vehicle.

Granthum says Gates and his vehicle were also caught on surveillance video during the break-in.

Gates is incarcerated in the Perry Co. Correctional Facility – on $15,000 bail.
