Commissioners to meet June 24 – Bowie News

Montague County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. June 24 to consider various agenda items.
The Montague County Tax Assessment District will present its 2024-25 budget proposal. The county is part of the assessment portion of the operation where costs are shared among all taxing entities in Montague County.
Sealed bids for base rocks #1 and #2, oversized rocks and chips will be open, as well as bids for the installation of a bedrock.

The court could approve the renewal of the Texas Association of Counties Employee Health and Benefits Plan for the 2025 year.
Two budget adjustments per item will be proposed in both the first sector regarding property sales and reimbursements. Both will move to gravel.
The First Precinct will also seek permission to enter David Steadham’s property on Berry Road to correct the drainage problem. Commissioner Roy Darden will also request a road use agreement with Fortissimo Storage, LLC for a property in the First District.
An agreement for sign language interpreting services between the county and Hired Hands Inc. will be considered.
A budget workshop constitutes the final theme while elected officials and ministerial officials are invited to present their budget request for the next financial year.
