Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold Are Set for a 'Fun' Reunion With Chris Rock in 'Everybody Hates Chris' Animated Series

Everyone still hates Chris bring the family together!

Tuesday, Variety announced that some originals Everyone hates Chris cast members – Chris Rock, Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold – will return in the animated revival of the beloved sitcom. Crews and Arnold shared the news in a fun Instagram video, where they are seen jumping with excitement.

“Do you know why we are so happy?” Arnold asks the camera before looking at Crews, adding, “Tell them why we’re smiling.”

“Everyone still hates Chrisit was announced today,” Crews said. “The show we did is now animated!

Arnold adds, “Oh, this is going to be so much fun. Let’s dance! »

The two start dancing together while laughing before the video ends.

“We’ve been looking forward to announcing #EVERYBODY STILL HATES CHRIS – Animated Series on @ComedyCentral – Yay!” » said the legend. “We are very excited about this new venture. For all of you lovely people who played with us, now you have the chance to laugh at our animated characters. We appreciate your support.”

The message concluded: “Let’s go!!! »

Each 30-minute episode, which will air on Comedy Central, is narrated and produced by Rock. Tyler James Williams played the role of Chris in the original.

Arnold and Crews will reprise their characters as Chris’ parents, while new cast members Tim Johnson Jr., Ozioma Akagha, Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Gunnar Sizemore will join them.

“I’m very excited to introduce the world to another fun side of my childhood,” Rock said in a statement to Variety.

Everyone hates Chris ran from 2005 to 2009 for four seasons on UPN and later on The CW. The animated spinoff was first announced in August 2022, but few details have been shared until now.

In the 2022 press release, Chris McCarthy, Chairman and CEO of Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios, spoke about the project.

“Chris Rock is one of the most gifted comedians of all time and we are thrilled to partner with him, 3 Arts and CBS Studios to bring this film to life and welcome it as the next big hit,” said McCarthy.

Everyone hates Chris can be streamed on Tubi and Prime Video.
