FBI offers reward for information on cause of Ruidoso fires

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Law enforcement is asking for the public’s help in identifying the cause of the South Fork Fire and Salt Fire, which were discovered Monday, June 17 near Ruidoso, in New Mexico, according to a press release. sent by the FBI Albuquerque field office.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the fires, according to the press release.


The FBI is assisting its local, state, federal and tribal partners in the ongoing investigation into the causes of the fires.
