Drake clearly inherited his father’s musical talent. According to Graham’s 2016 interview with Office Magazine, he was married to a waitress before meeting his second wife (and Drake’s mother) Sandi, at one of his shows with Jerry Lee Lewis. “That’s where I met Drake’s mother. I was at the bar and I asked the bartender where I could find cigarettes. So she said – Sandi is her name – she said, “Here, have one.” And that was it,” he told the publication. They married in 1985 and had Drake the following year, according to People. However, Drake’s parents separated shortly after and Sandi was granted full custody of her son in 1991.

Whether through his own musical journey or that of his son, it’s clear that Graham is a fixture in music and celebrity circles – as seen on Instagram. He’s been spotted hanging out with everyone from Priscilla Presley to Snoop Dogg boxer Conor McGregor over the years.

Why wasn’t Drake’s father allowed into Canada?

According to Us Weekly, Graham was allowed to enter Canada for the first time in 15 years last January. Drake shared the happy news on Instagram: “For the first time in over 15 years they are letting the OG come back to Canada, thank you to everyone who helped us. »

Although the “Hotline Bling” rapper didn’t explain why Graham wasn’t allowed into the country, Billboard suggests the answer lies in Drake’s 2011 song “Look What You’ve Done.” In it, he refers to the fact that his father could not enter Canada due to “minor fees and child support that was simply not being paid.”
