Kim Kardashian-inspired ink from Pete Davidson to Angelina Jolie

SEVERAL celebrities have removed tattoos that were once a tribute to their partners after their relationships ended.

From Pete Davidson’s Kim Kardashian-inspired ink to Angelina Jolie’s tribute to her ex-husband, it seems that when romance ends, all memories need to be erased.

Here are the ink-obsessed stars who removed or covered their tattoos after breaking up with their romantic partners.

LITTLE DAVIDSON

Pete Davidson, 30, dated Kim Kardashian, 43, from October 2021 to August 2022 after becoming friends and sharing an on-screen kiss while the Kardashians star hosted Saturday Night Live.

The couple were quickly embroiled in a whirlwind romance, although it wasn’t without its bumps – most, if not all, coming from Kim’s eccentric rapper Kanye West, 47.

Pete got several tattoos, and even a brand of the Skims founder’s name, to commemorate his romance with Kim.

Kim’s favorite was the “my daughter is a lawyer” tattoo, a reference to her passing the bar in 2021, tattooed around the comedian’s collarbone.

He also had the initials “KNSCP” tattooed, representing Kim and each of his children – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm – near his collarbone.

Below the initials, the Bodies Bodies Bodies star tattooed the names “Aladdin” and “Jasmine” as well as an infinity sign, referencing the couple’s SNL sketch that sparked their romance.

The tattoos have all been removed since the couple’s short-lived split.

ANGELINA JOLIE

Angelina Jolie, 49, was married to actor Billy Bob Thornton for three years, from May 2000 to May 2003.

Meanwhile, between kissing on the red carpet and wearing vials of blood around her neck, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star got her name tattooed above a dragon on her left shoulder.

Shortly after her divorce from the Monster’s Ball actor, Angelina removed the tattoo of his name and had it replaced with the coordinates of her family’s birthplace.

Her next husband, now ex-husband, Brad Pitt, 60, once had her birthplace details included in that list, but they have since been erased since the couple split in 2016.

JOHNNY DEPP

One of the most high-profile celebrity tattoos belongs to Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp, 61.

Johnny was engaged to his Edward Scissorhands co-star Winona Ryder, 52, from July 1990 to June 1993.

And even though their engagement never resulted in marriage, it did result in the “Winona Forever” tattoo on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star’s right shoulder.

A year later, Johnny had Winona’s last two letters removed, changing the tattoo to now read “Wino Forever,” something he told Playboy was “a little more accurate.”

Speaking about the breakup, Winona told Cinema.com in 2001: “I was very depressed after breaking off my engagement to Johnny 10 years ago.

“I was extremely dramatic at the time, but you have to remember that I was only 19,” the Stranger Things star added.

JUSTIN BIEBER

Justin Bieber, 30, who recently announced he was expecting his first child with wife Hailey Bieber, dated Selena Gomez, 31, on and off from 2010 to 2018.

Meanwhile, the heavily tattooed pop star had a portrait of the Only Murders in the Building star on his left wrist to celebrate his love for the actress.

Justin continued to get the tattoo covered up after his breakup with Selena, although he later admitted to GQ: “I tried to cut his face with some shading, but people still know. “

PINK AMBER

Amber Rose, 40, married rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2013.

The couple welcomed their son, Sebastian “The Bash” Taylor Thomaz, on February 21, 2013.

If marriage and a child weren’t enough, Amber also had a portrait of the rapper’s face on the back of her left arm.

When the couple split due to irreconcilable differences in 2014, she covered up the tattoo with what appears to be rockstar Slash.

MELANIE GRIFFITH

Melanie Griffith, 66, who was married to Miami Vice star Don Johnson and Scarface actor Steven Bauer, got a tattoo on her right shoulder commemorating her love for her third husband, Antonio Banderas, 63 years old.

The Working Girl star had her husband Antonio’s name inscribed in a heart.

Some time after the couple separated, Mélanie erased the tattoo of his name but left the heart.

KYLIE JENNER

Kylie Jenner, 26, dated rapper Tyga, 34, on and off for about three years, starting in fall 2014.

After their breakup, the Kylie Cosmetics founder changed Tyga’s lowercase “t” tattoo on her ankle to a lowercase “la”, presumably for Los Angeles.

TRAVIS BARKER

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 48, covered up his ex-wife Shanna Moakler’s name tattoo.

Travis and Shanna, 49, share children Landon, 20, and Alabama Barker, 18, as well as Shanna’s daughter with retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya, Atiana De La Hoya, 25.

After the couple divorced in 2008, the rockstar covered Shanna’s name with a scorpion tattoo.

He then added a tattoo of his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s lips during the tribute to his ex.

HEIDI KLUM

Heidi Klum, 51, married singer Seal, 61, in 2005.

After almost seven years of marriage and three children, Leni, 20 years old; Henri, 18 years old; Johan, 17 years old; and Lou, 14, the model filed for divorce in 2012.

The following year, the America’s Got Talent judge attempted to have the tattoo of Seal’s name on his arm removed.

Although the ink now appears faded, the outline of the tattoo is still visible on the inside of Heid’s forearm.

EVA LONGORIA

Eva Longoria, 48, celebrated her wedding to retired San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker with three tattoos.

A giant “NINE,” a reference to Tony’s jersey number, was written on the back of his neck; their wedding date, “07-07-07,” was tattooed on her wrist; and her husband’s initials were tattooed somewhere, out of sight, on her body.

A few years after the couple divorced in 2010, Eva had all three tattoos removed.
